Vent Visors and wind noise.

Howdy all, this is Toreador from the "other" 04-05 web forum. I see all my "friends" abandoned me and came to party over here. Thanks for letting me know. Anyway, I'm thinking of adding Vent Visors to my truck. I've heard that some are "clip on" type and others only use adheasive. I've heard the clip on type can cause wind noise in the cab. And I've read adheasive type can actually reduce the inside wind noise. So, question is which is the best Vent visor for reducing wind noise in the cab? That would be the one I'd like to buy. Thank all.

I think the Autoshade Vent Visors (in-channel) are the best thing I ever added. I like driving with the window down and they keep the wind and light rain out. I don't notice any real noise problems. Easy install and no problems rolling the windows all the up. Best of all you can crack the windows when parked for a cooler cab.

Mine are Autoshade Ventvisors, and there is some wind noise.
Actually this is not a big thing. The wind noise I get is when the wind is hitting from the corners, at high speed. Most places don't have constant hard winds like we do here, so would not be affected. I don't regret putting the inchannel visors on one bit.
Cheap useful mod.
Chris
p.s. most of the same guys are in both forums, just notice half of them use different names... Get's a little confusing sometimes...

I personaly like the ones that use the adhesive, I have added them to most all Trucks and Cars I have owned and have never really noticed any wind noise. It's just a matter of which type you prefer to install.

I also have these. I do not notice any additional noise. Just make sure when you install them, that you do like the istructions say and use a putty knife to seat the clips in alllllllll the way.

I've had about 2 different sets of the adhesive ones and like those best. I bought a set of the in channel ones but took them back. They just seemed sort of loose and not very secure. Of course, this could have been from my install skills, but I happily went back to the adhesive ones.

I have the AutoVentshade In-channel Ventvisors. I have no noticeable wind noise. Follow the directions exactly and you'll have no problems. Good luck.
