brake dust
Mine has 6000kms on it and I'm notice more then normal brake dust. So I'm not sure if its from them being new and breaking in, or if they are cheap pads. I haven't even hauled a load or driven the truck hard yet.
What body style do you have? I went from a 04 supercrew to a 05 supercab med-box and I find its squirlish on the highways doing 100kmh/60mph. I tried putting my tires from 35 psi to 45 psi and nothing helped. It has almost caused me to lose control. You hit a bump on pavement and the back end wants to kick out. Feels like it was weight in the back, but that would kill the gas millage. On gravel its way worse then the 04 the back end wants to pass me all the time. Not very impressed. I road in my dads 03 superduty 350 diesel and the seats actually had some padding on them and the truck drove & rode way nicer.
Ive got a 2005 Lariat and dont have bad brake dust problems. Might be because I commonly use the tranny (automatic) to engine brake to slow down. Disable O/D, then from drive to 2nd to slow to a stop. Saves my brakes I guess.
I have an '05 lariat SCrew with 3k miles, Brake dust has been a problem since it was new. I've read about this problem in many threads. IMO the only solution is to replace the pads with a different composite. I'm going to wear out the stock ones first. Just gotta wash your wheels more often
Synthetic Pads...
Months ago, I questioned the same thing and got excellent advice on some synthetic brake pads. Do a search on the topic.

There are a couple of different aftermarket brake pads that will eliminate the dust problem. I have Akebono Proacts(ceramics) and no longer have the dust problem. Also, the OEMs were gouging the rotors. The new pads took care of that.
