finally removed the stickers
finally removed the stickers
OK, I know this has been discussed as being something that is very easy to do. I was very skeptic, but today I took the plunge.
I have a 04 F150 supercrew lariat with the 4x4 stickers on the bed. I did not really like them. Picked up my truck feb of 04, so I was concerned that I was going to make a mess when I tried to peel them off.
Today while claying the truck, I pulled out the hairdryer, and it went smoother than (you know what). After a year and a half, once warmed up they peeled right off. Very slowly, but no residue. I just clayed over them to get the outline dirt off and am good to go.
Moral of the story... dont be a chicken like me and look at them for a year and a half before removing them. You will just kick yourself when you find out how easy it is to do...

Great to hear it!
I didn't like my FX4 billboards either. Makes the truck look very clean and refined without all that vinyl.
My truck is dark enough that I just walked out one day, and pulled it off with no problem. I used a hair dryer on the other side that was in the shade just to see how well it would work, and it was easy. Took about 30 seconds for each.

Guilty as charged, I've been exactly that. I actually like my stickers, it's the
stealerships name that's still on my tailgate. It's die-cut lettering and I was
wondering if it was too late and the paint underneatth them would now be a
different shade ...
On my 01, I had the bright yellow Off road sticjers on a darl blur truck. I finally got sick of them and peeled them off. Didn't need a hair dryer or anything else. There was some residue, which I got of with naptha. This was after 2.5 years.

I took mine off the first week I had the truck. Relocated then in the 1/4 wheelhouses. Like it much better!
