Sounds weird but….

My new (3weeks old) 05 SCREW KR had the dreaded vibration between 55 and 60 MPH that many have complained about.

Last weekend I installed the Magna Flow 16612 SISO exhaust system (which BTW I love) and for some reason, with almost a week of driving have yet to have the vibration return. I can not explain why… a fluke maybe. Nonetheless I am very happy about it.

Any one else experience this?

Do you use the e-brake? theres a couple of posts about one side dragging and causing the "V"

When I first got my truck, I had the vibration, a few weeks later of driving it, it went away. The truck had been sitting on the lot for about 9 months so the tires were flat-spotted for sure and they finally came out.

a 55-60mph vibe isn't necessarily the "dreaded vibe"

Every vehicle I have ever owned has developed a certain vibration at a certain highway speed. But only within a small mph range. There are a million factors that play into it. Maybe its the LS, maybe its harmonic vibrations from the engine (certain speed and RPM)

This could be what you had as the exhaust changed that "sweet spot" of developing a speed/rpm related harmonic vibration.

No, I have yet to use the e-brake. But during the install I could have move the pass. side cable, thus losening somthing.

,

Thanks for the info. This could have been the case. Hopefully the harmonic vibe will not re-apear at a diffrent RPM/speed. In any case, I am glad the vibe is gone.
