Windshield LEAK?
Windshield LEAK?
Ok, guys:
I've already searched and found posts about windshield wind noise, and third brake light leaks, but not windshield leaks.
I'm not sure if it is leaking, but yesterday we had an EXTREMELY heavy rain with strong winds and small hail. I drove home and didn't notice anything. This morning I go out to my truck, noticing that we had an over night shower, and also noticing that there appears to be something all over the inside of my windshield.....something like dried soap, or what may be diluted adhesive. It looks like the streaks that form when you let soapy water dry "accidentally" on body panels.
So, has anybody else noticed this? Could my windshield have leaked during the storm and since it was still wet during the ride home, i didn't notice till this morning? What is this "soapy film" that is all over it? Adhesive from the windshield seal?
Sorry for the long post, but it is driving me nuts wanting to clean it, but I don't know how to tell the dealer without showing it...or even if I should bring it up.
Thanks!
