Tailgate Handle Paint Complete

RP, for reference sake on the texture, the pictures I included have the same type of texture as the F-150's, and only a couple of coats were applied. If you run your hand along it, you can tell it is textured, otherwise you would have a hard time knowing that it was. I also painted the front and rear bumpers to match, but the texture was a bit more extreme. You can see that texture from about 3 or 4 feet away, but it doesn't look bad.
If it were me, I wouldn't bother sanding the handles.

Thanks vegas...
I still have this nasty hunch it'll be a booger to accomplish but, based on your experience and the fact that I have a dremel tool... I might just give it a whirl. Worst case scenario, I have to buy new handles which I'm considering doing anyway...

I think I would add a step 8.5 which would be to spray on an adhesion promotor before applying the paint. It might not be as critical since you sanded everything down, but you can leave it textured and just wash it, use an adhesion promotor and then paint. It'll save you the whole sanding process, and still look very good. Here's my tailgate handle and keyless entry surround on my sport trac that was not sanded. The paint has held up perfect for over a year and a half now in Vegas heat.
