Angry Ahhh!

I just got outside and was washing my truck and dumping out my mats when I realized this girl spilled some of her Hunch-Punch in the back seat of my truck. It was all over the back of my seat, back seat, window, and the speaker grill. I got it all off with the help of some Lexol Leather Cleaner/Conditioner, Meguiars Interior Quick Detailer. The only problem is the speaker grill, it got in all the little holes and I can't get it out. Any suggestions? or even how do I take the whole grill off so I can just clean it off? I got most of the crap out of my carpet but there are a few dots still, can anyone suggest anything to get this cleaned up. Im going to be ordering the Catch-All rear matt as soon as I can! I can be appreciative that I got most of it out though.

Anyone except the Owner

should always be made to ride in the bed, thus minimizing the risks of crap spilled all over the Owner's interior.

Seriously (actually, just "more seriously") try some Meguiar's or some other good brand of interior cleaner, you should be able to spray a little on the speaker grille and leave it soak for a few minutes before wiping. May need to use a new, clean toothbrush to get into the little holes.

Good luck.

did she own up to it? or just pretend it never happened?

It might be time to dump her azz for messing with the truck and not being honest about it.

Makes you wonder what else shes hiding from you...

I would try oxyclean to get it out of the carpets...Treat it with an APC first at a mixture of 10:1....Mix the oxyclean in hot water...2 scoops in 2 gallon water...and let it set for 5 minutes or so to activate.....Spray your spot remover(APC) and work it in with a brush...Then put the oxyclean on and work it in....Vaccum out....Should work...

Ahhhh -- the travails of being single! Running around with women of questionable integrity getting drunk in your backseat! That's the price you pay for "living the life"!

Just be glad she didn't puke the stuff up on the ride back home!

Sorry to highjack the topic, but that happened to a friend of mine way back when he was first out of college. Bought a brand new 280ZX (1988?- okay, I'm old) and drove 400 miles to a wedding. Took a new girlfriend. On the way home, she discovered she'd drank too much champagne, and he was tipsy enough he couldn't remember how to get her window open, and she blew oats all over the inside of the window. Next day, they had to drive home the 400 miles, windows up and heat on because it was winter, smelling it...

Yeah -- I think it's almost a "rite of passage" in your twenties to have someone blow chunks in your vehicle and then have to live with the sickly-sweet aroma that's left from whatever they ate and/or drank for the next three months!

I have a girlfriend but this wasn't my girlfriend, hence why she was riding in the back seat and my best friend up front. She didn't want to drive with her sister cause she was drunk as hell so I was just trying to be the nice guy and she done got my truck all skeeted up. I do admit that I did take a corner too fast when she did spill it but if she would of been wearing her damn seat belt and if she didn't have the Hunch-Punch in there it would of never happened.

I tried to use a bunch of Q-Tips to clean out the grill with that Meguires interior detailer but it was taking forever. Im going to go try the tooth brush with it, hopefully that'll work. I got the spots so faint they arn't noticable unless your really inspecting my truck so Im not going to let it get at me. I was planning on having a guy come over here to detail and shampoo the carpets some time soon anyways so I guess this gives me just a good excuse to get it done sooner.

Thanks for all the quick replies guys!

I'd try some kind of foaming cleaner like Tuff Stuff and a can of compressed air like you'd get at a computer store. Spray with cleaner, blot with a towel, blow dry with the air.

I just got through putting the new speakers into the back doors of my truck, I know that I have a super cab and not a super crew, But It was really easy to remove the panels. You could probably go to Crutchfield.com and see if they have an online manual for the removal. Once there out you can wash them with soap and water and lay them out to dry, Not sure if this will help or if I am missing something, But figured I would throw that at ya.

I was thinking the same thing, I'd probably pull the grills all the way off. There's no telling if that punch got behind the grills or even in the cracks between the panels and the grills. If you leave it there long enough you might have a hard time getting it out later.

I used a toothbrush and got it cleaned up real good with that Meguiars Interior Detailer. Although I couldn't get all of the stuff out of the carpet but most of it. Im going to order that rear mat soon as I can! Where is the best place to get it? Catch-All Extreme and how much?

Sounds like you used my suggestion before I had a chance to post it.... a short bristled brush (toothbrush like) would be perfect for this task. Keep in mind though, if it was in the speaker grill holes, it's probably BEHIND the panel as well on a small degree.

My suggestion so that you're not huffing the sweet aroma of girl yack for the next several months... remove the door panel and clean behind it too.

As for your carpet, can you post some pictures? Also, any idea what she had for dinner that night. LOL!

RP, I was waiting for your response but she didn't throw up but rather just spilled some of her Hunch-Punch on the carpet a little bit. There is about 4 dots about the diameter of a regular pen. I tried Tuff Stuff on it and some other real strong carpet cleaner and it didn't work but just lightened it up.
