Paint quote for painting your mud flaps/Fix for your billet grill

Any paint guys out there that would know an appropriate price for a body/paint shop to charge me for painting the molded Ford mud flaps?

Also, anyone have a billet grill, the replacement kind and not the one that goes over the honeycomb grill? The screws at the bottom of the grill slam into the bumper scratching it everytime you shut the hood. Anyone know the fix for this?

Going in the shop next week to repaint the front bumper they scratched all to heck with the billet grill. Fix webbing on paint. Install ARE cover. Paint mud flaps. Paint mirrors. Paint applicays. Install Mark LT handles.

Thanks!

Duke

As for the screws in the bottom of the grille....I took my dremal and a sanding bit and sanded the screw heads down a little. The main thing scratching your bumper is the burs on the heads of the screws created by tighting them down. Sand them down maybe a 1/32 of an inch or so and you should be fine.

Why don't you paint them yourself? I bought some fender flares off of e bay (black) and painted them Arizona Beige to match my accent. Cost about $50 for a automotive paint supply shop to match my color and put in 2 spray cans, another $10 for special plastic primer, I think its called bulldog. Looks great and was cheaper than a paint shop. I found that most paint shops don't want to do the little stuff and if they do they over charge!

I'll look into it, but my main problem is the paint condition that the tailgate and parts of the truck are in. Hopefully RP has some advice on this.

Yeah I looked into that and the body shop wants $150 for the mud flaps. Pretty ridiculous. So I'm going to paint them myself. RP's new adventure has given me confidence and if I run into trouble I have you guys for advice. I'll take pics and document the entire thing for anyone who needs it. The big reason I'll do it myself is because the body shop won't warranty the paint job, so I mine as well do it myself. Depending on the price to paint the applicays, I might have them paint these, since they are more noticeable and look harder to remove. Same thing with the antenna base. mkinttrim, did you like the results of your paint job? Any pics of it?
