FX4 rims and tires effect my gas mileage?

I agree with kcap 85, I can still spin the 18" Rugged Trails about the same as the shorter Long Trails, power loss wasn't noticable for me (although obviously there is some due to taller gearing) with the 5.4 and 3.73's and as you said, Chris Adams, gas mileage was the same. Gpaje, did you correct for speedometer error in your gas mileage calculation? That may be where your loss of MPG is coming from.

I am not sure you didn't experiance some loss. I live at high altitude, desert, with mountains. I get 15 around town, and 22-24 on the freeway. Thats for 7000 miles, corrected and adjusted both with instruments, and calculated.
I also do that driving in California, where if you do the speed limit, someone will hit you in the rear.
