Question for those with 4.56 gears

2 simple questions:

1) How many miles on the 4.56 gears?
2) Any noise? Howling, whining, etc?

thanks

Most howling and noise is split between how they were installed and who was the maker of the ring and pinion

I am listening and have about 1400mi with last 600 pulling very heavy load ... NO gear noise that I can pick up/out ... I do have some slight tire noise with my BFG AT's between 45 & 50 on most paved roads but not all. At first I thought it might have some gear mixed in ... but on smooth dirt and some other road surfaces there is no noise at those speeds and if any gear noise was mixed in it would stand out here with the tire noise removed.

Use the best gear shop & person you can find ...! Any place can probably be successfull to 4.10's but gears past that have less margin of error so to speak and odds of getting it right change considerably as the numerical ratio reference number goes up (4.30, 4.56, 4.88, 5.??).

You guys with 4.56. What kind of rpms are you running now. Somewhere around the 35" tire range.
