Smoke?

The last few times I have fired up my truck, I have noticed a pretty nice cloud of blue smoke... Then today I noticed a little white smoke after I filled up. clears up real quick but kind of unnerving...

I know what causes the problems mentioned above, looking for feedback if anyone else has had the problem(S) and if there dealer repaired it.

Before you notice this...

Are you starting the truck, moving it a very very short distance (a few feet) and shutting the truck off?

does it happen all the time... if yes i would say it is time to drive to the dealer shi* and make sure you do not have any bad seals.

But i would know the lenght of time it has to sit there before you go in so that they could wait that lengh of time then start it.

we all know how a dealer shi& will also drive it right after you drop it off when you need it to sit or the drive it after it sits and you need them to drive it right then to reproduce the issue, this is what makes the world go round

I've noticed the same thing. It sort of smells like its fuel-not oil though. I figured I would tell the dealer when I take it in for the butyl pad recall.

I have the same thing happening. Blueish white smoke for around 10-15 seconds after startup. It seems worst on warm days when it first gets started later in the day. I go in on June 7 so I am going to enquire about it, I am not worried about it though as it is a lease I do not intend on keeping.

I had the same thing with the white smoke from my truck after startup. It happened the first couple of starts after I replaced the fuel filter. Hasn't happened since (1 month). Could the fuel filter have caused this?

It did happen after I moved it a very short distance, and then shut off, fired up the next AM and it put out a big plume of blue/black smoke...then after driving 4-5 miles I stopped for fuel and then when I fired it up it was white smoke...

Today nothing

I take meticulous care and change the dino juice every 3K, I'm at 10.5K miles now. And I don't drive it real hard... I do open it up every now and then....

Has any one taken threes in for this situation?
