any lifted guys have a steering stblilizer?
i went and drive a truck that was at my local dealer on trade in with a pro comp lift and a few things concerned me so i figured i'd ask you guys and see if this is normal or a fluke? so the steering had a ton of slop in it first of all? the tires went crazy squeling around ANY (even super slow speed) corner and it felt kind of.....hoppy? (as my lady would put it) like the truck was bucking? not sure if this was something to do with gearing or the rubber that was on the truck or what? it was running 17x10 weld cheyenne 6s and trxxus m/t tires....
i figured the steering (my main concern) could be solved with a steering stabilizer but i wasn't sure about the others? you guy always talk about how smooth yours are even after the lift i am just curious if maybe this truck was just abused?? this has got me heavily considering just keeping my autostar and trying to squeeze a 35 under it.... porkchop and powerage's pics are tempting!!

I wouldnt do it.
First off, I would be concerned why someone just bougth an 04, put a lift in it, then traded it in. Talk about a waste of money.
Second, steering shouldnt be sloppy, mine is the same as the day I bought it, except for the 35s I am handling instead of stockers.
I would ask a lot of questions about that truck. Try out 4wd (on a straight away). Ask if the gears are stock, maybe someone put a locker in or something.
Whats the dealer asking for it. Because the lift and tires are only a $2500 - $3500 upgrade. It might be a better bet to get a new truck and see if they can throw a lift and tires into the financing. Look around, ask questions.

^ agree's with him
sorry i should have been a little more clear. i plan on lifting MY current truck... i just drove that truck so i could get a feel for a lifted one b/c this is the same lift and tires i was planning on using. i was just concerned with my truck doing these same things.... i love the way it drives and if the lift changed that many things i definately would not do it! so i was wondering if a steering stabilizer would cure this problem if it occured with my truck OR if this was just a fluke? as for the bucking... that was just weird?
the truck was owned by a guy i know (kinda) so i know a little about it.. stock 3.73 gears... the lift was the only aftermarket parts truck just drove ****ty.... it made my girlfriend sick to her stomache with all the buckiing it did....and he got rid of the truck b/c it was bought for his wife who left him and he owns a local 4x4 shop so he lifts EVERYTHING! the fact that he owns a 4x4 shop and it drove this way made me really uneasy and thought maybe this was all normal?

Then no, it is not normal. It runs and rides great. I had a little vibe in 4hi in the snow on the road once, but that might have been a fluke. Other than that. Solid.
Plus the look is killer.
