dash mods

I've replaced the flat black vents and radio bezal with chrome ringed vents and the carbon fiber FX4 bezel. Also, as soon as I get it I will be pulling the coin holder out and installing an Air/fuel ratio gauge. I've also purchased a A-pillar gauge pod which I'm having painted to match the interior and will be adding gauges there soon. Check out www.speedhut.com for some nice back lit custom gauges if interested.

dash upgrades thus far

So where did you get the carbon fiber FX4 bezel? I like that.

There is a guy who sells the bezel with the vents on ebay. I have not seen him on ebay lately though. I'm pretty sure you can get it from Ford for about 96.00 though. I can look at my history and get the vendors name if you are interested. Personally, I'm not into the stick on stuff and if memory serves me right, that kit from pheonix is close to 400.00 bucks.

I really only want the bezel, I already have the vents.

Gencom, you could also get the Billet A/C *****.

not as cheap as the stick on crap, but man, it looks REAL and it holds up well. if you email them, they can send you a price list. like i said its not cheap, but you can see how it turns out, and there is a lot of time involved in doing it, all the pieces are wet sanded by hand, etc. they do some GOOOD work.

The pheonix stuff is not stick on. It is dipped in water with the graphics in the water. Some guys have it done on another site and it looks like it was factory done. It esentially looks like it was made, with what ever pattern you choose, on it. IT IS AWESOME.

All,

I've posted this before, so please excuse if you've already read this. I've just ordered a kit from Phoenix Imaging...it isn't cheap, but I think it will be worth it. If you really think you'll trade your truck in a couple of years, I would recommend only having a couple of pieces done, skip it all together, or go with a stick on kit. I've been given my marching orders from my sig. other...I'll have this truck for the next five years (at least), so it is worth it to me. To have all the parts done below, the total bill is just north of $1000.

If you guys can hold tight for about a month, I'll have plenty of pics for you. I've scheduled the install for the week of 20 June.

FYI - P-I has a core swap program. If you aren't familiar with this, they charge you for the core parts, the reimburse you for the core charge when you send your parts back after you install what they send to you. If you are interested, I suggest you call Robyn and ask for the prices with the core charge. If you want to do a core swap, I recommend you give Robyn at least 30 days...if she doesn't have the core parts on hand, then she has to order them, dipped, then shipped to you. Here's what I'm having done in black carbon fiber:

Steering wheel (sides wrapped in leather)

Radio bezel with astray

Wood pieces on doors pair (Front)

Wood pieces on doors pair (Rear)

Window switch controls pair (Front)

Window switch controls pair (Rear)

Front console w/dual cupholder & shifter

Rear face of center console (w/storage & cups)

Moonroof control

Rear overhead light

Hope this helps...

Paul
