I just bought a 05 supercrew Lariat with a 5.4 I'm thinking of changing the exaust will the magnaflow 16614 fit my truck and are they hard to put on ,is it a bolt on process or will I have trouble and is it loud I like loud my last truck was a 02 and I had vorteck on it it was ok but I had chrome tips on it"RUST" what all will I need to do to change it over thanks for any help.

ps: should I wait till I get some milage on it I got 100 miles on it.

 

From everything I've read you won't have a problem with the install. I don't say this to be an a$$, just trying to help...If you do a search for Magnaflow you will find tons of info in a short amount of time without having to wait for everyone to post here. Good luck and nice truck

 

Wow that is a long sentence! Yes, the 16614 is the dual exhaust for the 05 trucks. I just ordered the 16612, single out so I can update you more when I get it. But from what I have read on this forum, all the magnaflow kits are a perfect combo of a good sounding rumble and no cab drone/noise.

 

ricks fords ... Do you have the factory tow package? I have heard of some problems with the dual exhaust and factory tow. That's another reason I'm looking at the single exit system.

 

yes I have the factory tow package, what problems is there anything big.

 

The holes in the frame that the exhaust system uses, is used by the hitch. So you have to weld on some hangers, thats all.

 

If y'all like LOUD, perhaps the Magnaflow will be too mellow for your tastes.
Mileage on the truck is irrelevant.

Magnaflow stainless steel tips will not rust.
