I'm thinking you should be able to wheel and deal at least 6 or 7 thousand off the sticker price with rebates. My truck had a sticker price of 26,000.00 and after the rebates and some dealing I got it for 21,000.00 out the door. Ford is usually pretty good about working with you if your credit is good. Atleast here in FL.
let us know what happens

Before I bought my '05 F150 I shopped around for a '04 here in the Los Angeles area. The '04, '05 and probably the '06 are all generally the same body, features and equip packages. Your best deal is to find a used '04 or '05 with low mileage. I would've got a '04 but couldn't find one with the options I wanted.
With the money you save buying used vs. buying a new truck you'll be able to afford all the awesome modifications you'll read about on this forum. Plan on spending at least $2000 on mods for your truck.
Your best deal on a new truck will be using the X-plan. I got my pin through work. Do a search and you'll find lots of info about the x-plan pricing on new vehicles. Also check out The Buyer's Corner here at www.f150online.com

My new FX4 MSRP was 39260....After rebates I got it for $31774....And that was with $2500 in rebates....Not sure you are being quoted the right amount on rebates....Be careful...there is a rebates that is $1000 but you have to use ford financing at a going rate of 7.5%...so that rebate was no good to me...I chose to take only the $2k rebate w/ $500 miltary rebate and got my own financing for 4.25%...You can take the 7.5% and refinance after 3 months (fords rule) but who know where interest rates will be in 3 months...
I ended up getting $7500 off of MSRP with rebates...That was getting them to go $400 below invoice for the truck....I ordered it and told them I would split the holdback dollars with them since it wasn't going to sit on their lot...
Hope this helps..

I just ordered an '05 XLT, Standard Cab, Short Box, 4x2, with the 5.4 engine.
MSRP was $27800. Dealer Invoice was $24719. X-Plan price was $24692. I got it for $24500, with the rebates coming off on top of that.
I won't know what my final bottom line will be until I receive the vehicle, since the rebates that are in effect right now will expire before the truck arrives. I don't expect much change however, and am planning on around $3500 in rebates ($2000 Cashback, $1000 FMCC Dollars, and $500 American Quarter Horse Association Rebate) which will put me at around $21000 plus tags, tax, and license.
You should be able to swing at least that good of a deal if you're buying a vehicle that's sitting on a dealer lot -- they generally want to move those things! I'd go in and offer $200 - $300 below dealer invoice and see if you can't get the deal done. If you shop it around a little, you should get someone to grab it!
Good luck!

Sounds like a decent deal, but as long as you think you're getting one that's all that matters. There is always someone who is going to say you could have done better. Congratulations these are great trucks.
Sticker will be $39,900. Out the door once it gets here will be $30,300 unless the rebates are more, then the price will be less. The dealership guaranteed me the current $3000 in rebates unless I can get a better deal.
This is on a D-Plan though.

Rebates are a Ford program, not a dealer guarantee. Whatever rebates are in effect at time of delivery are what you are entitled to.
Getting a good deal on a Ford product is easy. Just tell them you want to pay invoice, less all rebates.
All letter plans, including D plans are non-negotiable. Any ****ering with plan deals, and Ford penalizes both the owner of the plan privelege (revoking), and the store (charge backs). If you are D plan, you are getting the best possible deal. Only dealership employees and immediate family members are elligible for D plan.
