I've seen all Yellow Handles... still not sure if they were covers but, not only where the handles yellow, the mirrors were too. I HAVE to get by there to check that out...

The handles will be chrome....the computer says they are painted and nothing about chrome, but they are. I went through that with the parts guy I bought my handles from.

it is possible to paint the stock handles, but with the primering involved it just wont last long before chipping, etc.

I haven't heard any complaints from anyone that has done it before. If its done right, it'll last.

I'll be ordering the LT handles and have them painted bright red to match up.

Also, you can paint the stock handles to match, it would probably be easier. I have to disagree with the chipping statement if it is done right. Use a good adhesion promotor, paint them then clear coat them and they should be fine. I did my sport tracs front and rear bumpers, tailgate handle and keyless entry surround, as well as a few parts under the hood. The only parts to chip/flake were the rear bumper where some dumb chit bumped into the trac, and on the front bumper (wheel well area) where the adhesion promotor didn't hit because the bumper cover was sitting on a table when it was applied. Here is a picture of the tailgate handle, this is the same textured material as the handles on the F-150's.

Here is the whole truck. The cladding is all textured material, and 9 out of 10 paint shops will tell you it can't be done.

For reference sake, this is what the trac looked like when I got it...
