Not sure if anyone has experienced this problem but my fog lights do not seem to work when I have the lights in the "auto" setting. The book says they should. Has anyone had this problem?

i have an 05 xlt, and mine work with "auto".. when i have them on auto i have to pull the "light" button out .. leave it pulled out in auto.. You have to pull it out when you turn it all the way to the right anyways to get your fog's to come on..

Yeah, I do pull the **** out and get nothing in the auto setting.

 

Are you sure your high beams are not on. They won't work with the high beams unless you modify the relay.

 

No, the high beams are not on, i know that for sure. I have no idea what the problem is.

 

Does the fog lamp icon on the switch light up when the fog light switch is pulled out?

 

Yea gotta say I have no problems with my auto setting as long as they are pulled out. Does the "fog light" light under the switch light up when it is pulled out?

 

It lights up in any position other than the "Auto" position. Very strange

 

If it does not light up when pulled out (the fog lamp icon) and the lights have come on automatically (in the dark), then sounds like you have a bad switch.
My switch is a bit touchy, it has to be pulled out firmly, if not the fogs don't come on.
