Brake Controller

I have a 2004 F150 and I am looking for the best place to mount a Electronic Brake Control. What do others recommend on placement and does anyone have any pictures of their install. I was thinking about cutting a hole and mounting at the bottom of the console that has the radio and temp controls.

Wow I made a mistake and said Speed Control, brain fart, I meant Brake controller. I have a Prodigy.

best solution is to get and install an OEM steering wheel with the cruise buttons on it and have the truck's computer reprogrammed by the dealer. You will then have original factory cruise. Search tool is your friend on this one...

I know a guy who got an OEM steering wheel from EBAY for $75, and had the dealer hook up the cruise (reflash the CPU) for $100.00. He was out the door for $175.00...

I mounted the brake controller to a metal bracket under the dash just to the left of the steering column. It is a little difficult to adjust while driving, but it is easy to use the control to just use the trailer brakes. It is out of the way of my feet and legs and no one will ever know it was there if I ever want to remove it.
