audiophile question??

I am looking at a SC Lariat that has the basic radio(single cd). What would it take to upgrade this to the audiophile system. Is the subwoofer cable already installed. Would the process be as simple as plugging in the headunit and the subwoofer. Does the Lariat already come with the nice speakers or do these come with the audiophile when ordered through dealer. thanks

if you do a search on this forum, or the "other audio system" forum for Audiophile, you will find more info about it. But basically, no, not all trucks are prewired for Audiophile. You would have to check under the driver's side rear seat, look for a slit in the carpet and see if you feel a wiring harness in there. And also, you need to check if the 3rd plug is in the dash coming off the main radio harness. And all trucks come with the same speakers, you only get upgraded speakers with the Audiophile option.

SteveVFX4, is right. If you want better sound, think about going aftermarket. The bucks to set up the Audiophile would be more for less return.
