I still have to clean the wheels about every week or so. I'm not as **** as some when it comes to cleaning the outside of my truck. But yeah you definately can see the dust still.

05 SCREW Build date 2/05. Problems A/C clutch too noisy for my taste, but perfectly normal, and BRAKE DUST. Think I will change pads soon. Otherwise, nicest truck I've ever owned.

The brake dust is driving me crazy, plus at this rate, the pads will need replacing very soon. I just had an 02 Chevy with 75,000 miles, little dust and the pads were less than half gone at that mileage. Does anyone know the difference in the type padsused by Ford? Are they just softer? Just curious. One thing I noticed when shopping for the new truck, Chevy went back to drum brakes on the rear as a cost cutting measure. That was hard to believe.

As a general rule, the later in the production run on a new design, the better off you are. Changes are made constantly as warranty and testing data comes in; when the next next F150 comes out, the early buyers will be going through the same teething problems.

My 04 with an 08/04 build date has only had an ecm reflash for warranty work. I purchased it as a leftover in December and ended up with $4500 in rebates. Since 06 production is supposed to start in August; just hope there are a lot of 05s on the lot in July. If there are, you will get the big rebates.
