Talking Delivery Day

Well, I finally picked her up. Delivery went well with no surprises. Truck looks Freakin Awesome! It was well worth the wait. I ended up trading my 2000 Tundra Access Cab 4X and with the tax savings only ended up short from what I was asking by $600. Plus, I don't have to listen to anyone call me up anymore and insult me with the offers they make unfreakingbelieveable . I couldn't pull myself away from it all day. Nothing but smiles here... Can't tell you haow good it feels to have finally brought my baby home. I can tell you that now I know what everyone has been raving about, I mean now I really know.

I'm gonna try and post a link to my first attempt at a gallery. Hope this works...

Congrats! I'm curious to know if your truck fits in your garage there? (height wise and with/without folding in the mirrors) I'm house shopping right now and it's becoming a pain in finding houses with big enough garages.

Steve...aren't normal size garages big enough to fit the truck in. I will be looking for a house beginning next month and assumed the average size garage was long and wide enough to fit 2 vehiles in (my other is a mazda tribute). I didn't get the Scab because it is longer than the Screw. Your experiences is appreciated. Height should not be a problem at all. Garages should at least be 8 foot at the door...

Thanks,

Brian

Sweet truck! I love that Ford green. I remember the day I took delivery of my XLT. It was so new it still had the plastic film on the emblems and lights! I loved being the one who got to pull that stuff off!

Maybe for most if not all new construction, they are large enough. But my price range leans me towards older homes (15 to 40yrs old), and around here in PA, height is the main problem I'm running into. Alot only have a 6' or 6.5' high door opening. And like PonyDriver's house pics, if you have 2 seperate single doors, then the door needs to be like 8.5' to 9' wide so you don't have to fold in the side mirrors.

Thanks everyone. It really feels good just havin her out in the driveway, i keep goin to the window and moving the sheers aside to take a look and assure myself it's not a dream! LOL

Steve, My house is going on 9 years old and I would have to fold the mirrors and have someone hold the garage door open all the way until the cab was past the threshold. This isn't a concern of mine since I don't/won't be parking her in the garage. I am currently running my Custom Window treatment business out of my garage and between that and my '74 Sport there just isn't any more room for my honey. I'll be taking good care of her however and making sure she's comfortable every evening before I throttle down for the night. :-)

Thanks again for all the good wishes and for all the great info I come across on these boards.

PS: I knew solid Aspen Green Metallic was THE color after the first time I saw one and told my wife and all she said was; "nice color... Green=money". That was all she wrote. :-)
Tim
