I removed the 4x4 decals.. !!

I just didnt like them much. It looks better now with the clean look. What i do like are the nice chrome badges that Dodge 4x4's have for example. I wouldnt mind putting a set of those in place of the decals. Does Ford have any nice 4x4 bages? I guess the dodge badges would look outa place, as nice as they are. Or a badge underneather the Lariat badge maybe? any ideas?

Good move on taking off the 4x4 stickers. I think these trucks are to expensive to have stickers on them, plus it cleans up the truck without the stickers.

As far as chrome 4x4 emblems like the Dodge has. "04redLariat" brought the chrome 4x4 emblem that the Dodge has, and placed it on his tailgate, it looks very good if your interested in that. Look through his gallery and take a peak!

Took mine off the day I brought it home from the dealer. Then I put a double gold pinstripe inside the indentation that runs along the lower section of the truck from front to rear.

Mine pulled right off ... I started with a heat gun ... it came off easy, so on the other one without heat it pulled off nice and smooth too! Also yanked the other dealer & topper ones. These last ones left the most sticky behind and were individual little letters but cleaned right up with a dab of lighter fluid on a rag.

I have been toying with the idea of removing the FX4 sticker. I hesitate but I really think it will clean up the look of the truck. The dealer stickers are long gone.

they peeled clean and easy, no residue. Theres one tiny dealer sticker on bumper, guess thats next. The day o got home from dealer, i removed the PURPLE license plate frames they so proudly put on without my permission. Purple
I saw a F150 today, i dont know what year.. maybe 1990... the ones where the 4x4 chrome badge is under the headlight. One of those on the tailgate might look kind of cool.
One more thing, i was at a wrecker a while ago looking at Ranger badges. He had a big box full of Ford truck badges all mixed together. Anyway, i remember seeing this really cool Lariat emblem, i'm guessing... early 70's?? Its the old fashioned type, Lariat is written in fancy script, all metal not plastic.
Wouldnt something like that re-dipped in chrome look kinda cool ? ?
