I don't have sprayed on liner, I have a factory Ford drop in liner. I am not sure how the liner will affect you taking off the access panel on the tailgate....you will just have to play with it and see.

I will take step by steps of the doors and post pics next week when I get them in.
This is why you have them remove the bolts and screws before spraying. And if they did it right, they sprayed the panel seperately and reinstalled after dry (like mine).

Yeah I still haven't been by my truck yet...I know they took the other bed bolts out, so I'm assuming they took the tailgate ones out too. The handles do look great Ram and you have some other sweet mods on your truck...how'd your gas mileage go when you put on those rims....I was thinking about throwing on 20's next month but I'm thinking the bad gas mileage isn't worth it...course stock mileage is already bad, lol, so it's bad for worse huh? haha sounds like marriage

I've been wanting to do this too, but I have a Bright red FX4. The LT's only red the the "dark Toredor" red.

Does anyone know of good aftermarket handles, like the LT's?

The mileage went from 15.4 to 14.8 on average with the 24s, BUT 24s are much bigger and heavier than 20s. You really can't even compare the two. I don't think with 20s you will see a significant drop in MPG, but there are plenty of people on here running 20s that could answer that better than me.

Cool, yeah I think you're the second or third person to tell me. I'm just worried b/c the guy at the dealership said 20's with all terrain tires would cut my mileage in half. I think maybe he didn't know what he was talking about I guess.

I think he was in the back smoking out!

20s with 37s might cut your mileage in half!

Hey RamSS/T,

I haven't had a chance to look at my tailgate but does it make a difference if the tailgate has been sprayed with Line-X? I hope I'm still able to take the access panel off so I can do this mod.

I'm guessing the bolts are still accessible even after being sprayed with Line-X (I hope so anyway).

Thanks in advance.

well, i just installed my silver gate handle today, the most time consuming part was taking the bolts off the access panel.

as long as you can get the panel off, the line-x wont make any difference. i have a drop in liner in mine, so it wasnt an issue
