drop kits recommendations
Im looking for a 2"front/4"rear drop kit. im leaning towards DJM for $740 w/rear shocks but i saw that mcgaughy's was only $389 (not sure about shocks being included). i wouldn't mind paying the $740, only if it meant that it offered superior ride quality amongst all other kit brands. any suggestions on what i should get would be great.
the ones that change out the front coils, the cheaper ones, change spring rates 99% of the time anyway. Some people like the change, some people dont. If the kits change the rear springs that effects what you can tow and haul. Keep that in mind. (
The djm keeps your stock springs, so it can haul and should ride like stock.(mine rides better then stock)

Yeah, if youre not towing and want a great ride, go with McGaughys. Im extremly impressed with the replacement leafs and ride quality. If you tow, you would either want a spring helper or another kit.

I have the McGaughy's 2/4 drop. The entire kit is $389. Doesnt include shocks.
The kit has a shock relocator bracket, so you still get the entire travel length of your stock shocks, Iam still running mine. Have to say the ride quality is very nice, I am impressed. I do pull a boat and camper with mine also, they both drop the back end about another 1 1/2" to 2" so down the road I will be getting an air bag assist kit. Throw a little air in before towing and let it out when Iam done for the weekend.
I believe all the kits are pretty nice, I have not rode in a truck with any of the other kits available, but from the testimony from the owners on here they all seem like they ride pretty good. Handling will be much better with any of these kits. The price is what attracted me to the McGaughys kit, thats really the only reason I went with them. If your going with a 2" in the front, I wouldnt recommend going any more than 4" in the back. It will look lower in the back than the front if you do. If you go 3" in front no more than 5" in back.
