HELP! I want HID'S!
HELP! I want HID'S!
I am sure you guys already have an answer. I found a site that does HID kits and so I sent them the following message.
"I have an 04 F150 Super crew and my wife has an 03 Aviator. When I drive her Aviator with HID I can see very clearly at night. What kit do you offer for the F150? I have heard of people replacing bulbs but that they fry there wiring. Thanks for any help you can give. I don’t want to go too bright but do want the better sight! I was thinking of the 6K lights but have been told my high beams will not work. I was looking at your kit because of the warranty. Which kit do you suggest? "
To which I got the following Repsonse!
"Hi James,
Thank you for your inquiry.
Unfortunately, your ’04 F150 uses H13 bulbs on its low beam and high beam. H13 is not a common bulb, so far so we do not have a conversion for this particular application.
If you have any other questions, comments, concerns or want to place an order with us, please do not hesitate to email or call us. Thank you."
What can we do guys??? Those lights are

Unless you want to rig of a HID conversion to the stock head light housings, your going to have to wait. Theres nothing out there right now. If you do a search you'll see the few people that did retro fit some on their trucks.
retro is your only choice. just throwing hid bulbs in there totally sucks and is big time ticketable. i was driving down the highway yesterday in minneapolis...so if that idiot is reading...yeah i'm talking about you...he had a red f150, new body style...and he just through hid bulbs in the stock openings...had to modify the base to do that though...and he was shining everywhere but the road. the glare was unreal bad like i couldn't see even slightly, it was like 40 KC type lights shinning at you. needless to say within 1/4 of a mile he got pulled over by two troopers. not worth it just to through bulbs in there. do a retro like the other threads show in detail. i'm going to do a retro with the housing from a lexus...not as great of results as projectors, but looks better and looks more like stock...just without the glare.
