The rear window frame on my 2004 Screw with the power slider has a defect on the top of the frame over the right rear window. The frame looks like it's plastic but the defect looks like paint has peeled off the frame in about a 4 inch section. Anyone seen anything like this? I'll have the dealer replace it under warranty but I thought I would ask here first to see if they may want to try to paint it or something rather than replace the whole rear window.

Not sure about the piece in question but, without doubt, it sounds like a warranty issue to me...

While I'd understand their rationale for saying that they'll paint it, if it were mine, I'd probably look into trying to obtain a new one.
