Talking Just got flashed....

Well during another visit to the dealer....I asked to be flashed with the latest code. I mentioned throttle lag, etc.

WOW...best version so far. Big difference.

They replaced the cam phaser too. No more ticking so far.

My General AmeriTrac tires are all scalloped as well. They are ordering new control arms and new rubber all the way around. I wanted to just get a tire credit and go my own way, but they are not being flexible. We'll see.

Hopefully, the highway vibe will go away.

Cheers

Some have noted a big improvement with recalibrations. Mine was fine, but I reprogrammed it anyways just for the hell of it. Mine upgraded to 4U7A-GPA I think, I haven't really noticed any difference. The shift points were a little firmer for about the first day or two after the recal, but it smoothed out after adaptive strategy took over. I think there's another recal available now too, for rough idle concerns, raises the idle speed a bit for certain trucks.

What exactly do you say.

When you go ot the dealer what exactly would I say. I notice this lag as well and would like to see what the dealer can do. Do I simply ask them to flash it with the latest codes????

I have no clue as you can probably tell.

I just had my truck at the dealer for the butyl recall and I mentioned the throttle lag issue and they said that it was "normal". I didn't make a fuss because I plan to get a tuner soon anyway.

I'd complain about a hesistation off idle or poor throttle response.

I don't mean to tie this in with the synthetic oil thread, but I swear since I put Mobil 1 in my truck the lag has gone away considerably. Its still there but its a start!

i have mobil one too and i didnt notice any difference at all with the truck period
it still has a little lag but really ive never considered it a problem
sumtimes it takes a second to kick in when i punch it but at times it responds as quick but not as eagerly as my dad porsche 911

so should i get it reflashed or not???
