Question 3m film?

i am hoping someone can help me find what i am looking for. I just recieved a ford low profile hood deflector(one big scratch too late) and was wanting to put some film on the hood directly behind it so it does not rub the paint off. does anyone know if this can be had locally or will i have to wate to order it from an online site. i live near a big city, Houston, tx. and was wandering if an autoparts or wallyworld or somewhere like that carried it. thanks

What year is you truck?

I have an 05' and and a Lund Low-Profile protector and it doesn't touch the paint at all except underneath the hood. Even were it does contact it shouldn't rub the paint off.

On all the trucks I've had the bug shield was a good distance from the hood itself.

Just my 2c.

OH, and welcome young grasshopper!!

I dunno about local, but google it and I'm sure you have tons of online options.

Better yet, just slap the film on the vehicle and lose the bug guard thing!

I would look up a local paint supply shop.. they will have it. I also just installed my low profile shield last night... will be removing it tonight to install some clear film first!!!!!!

WOW, don't I look like an idot. I never gave it a second thought about how it goes between the grill and the hood. Oh, well, I'm not going to worry about it now.
