Congrats! We will miss the stories though. Can't wait to see the F150 that replaces it!

Congratulations!

With the luck you have had, I would recommend a F150 on the dealers lot with a recent build date. Drive it for about a week before you commit to it. At least this way, you will have a shot at making sure it does not have the "known" problems. If you want to order one, make sure you have the right to reject it after it comes in if YOU feel there is any problem.

Thanks for the comments and advice again guys! I was thinking about going to the Ford dealer and taking off my add ones I put onto it so I can have it on my new truck "Bug deflector, chrome tube running boards, window gaurds, chrome handles" I want to take them off and wait until the next truck to put these one the new one. My truck probably will never see my driveway again since nothing was fixed and I'm not going to drive it with the brakes acting up, I'm going to go up there and clear it all out and get my stuff back..

Just like someone else said, I hope they DO donate it to a school.

I took an intro automotive class at a technical school and we worked on a donated Z71.. Pretty fun taking it apart and stuff.

It wasnt defected except it fell off the haulin' truck and bent the frame.

Congrats Triton! Now you can get all the goodies on your new truck that you didnt get on the Lemon

I don't care what they do with my truck after I return it to the dealers lot, but I wouldn't like the idea of donating this truck where they would have to drive it somewhere. This truck is getting dangerous now with it's brakes failing, and this truck will kill someone the way it's going, so I'd be much happier if this truck got crushed and out of the way and will not hurt anyone!

I don't know how they run things down in the lower 48 but up here, my local Ford dealer let me and my wife take several rigs for days at a time. My wife drove 4 or 5 before she settled on the F250 she bought. I drove 3 F150s before settling on the FX4 I have. I have always been a big fan of taking extended test drives. If you are serious about buying a rig, then the dealer shouldn't have a problem with you driving it.

I personally wouldn't get one of those sissy *** lariats, get a real ford like the FX4!

Glad to hear all of your problems are coming to an end. Here's to a super NEW truck and a good experience. I am glad to hear that Ford is going to work with you on this one. So many times the little guy gets run over by the big companies. I hope this is a sign of things to come from Ford (and GM).... take care of your customers and they'll take care of you. The American auto industry needs to keep the loyal customers it has before it's too late.
Congratulations on finally getting all this bad stuff behind you and good luck with the new truck.
