street scene smooth cowl-

anyone have a street scene smooth cowl on their truck?? I would love to get one cause i HATE black textured plastic-

only thing I am worried about is.... will the smoothed cowl affect my heating,a/c, air circulation?? since the vents are gone??

Vents still work fine, though I opened up the center wiper hole somewhat on my install. There is enough gap at the side to fender seam to get some airflow as well.

Their mounting scheme did not work with my truck. I have lots of detail and pictures for this mod on my website. Click picture below and navigate to appearance mods.

Cheers!

04 RED LARIAT has one, it looks pretty cool, a nice subtle mod. Ask him if he has any problems with it...

That is PRECISELY what I was going to say once I read the first post.

I've seen his on his cowl in person and it looks VERY good.

I think this is a very nice mod. After installing one on my prior vehicles though, I would not buy another. The quality is not the best.

If you want a painted cowl, I would recommend either painting the cowl the way it is, or fiberglassing it over to make it smooth and then paint. I would suggest the latter of the two, as that is what I have planned....

I am planning on getting the SSE Wiper Cowl from Stillen. It looks like it is the same one that was pictured.

They sale on Stillen for $125 + Shipping, and are made out of fiberglass. The Part Number is SSE70704.

If anybody finds a better price, make sure to post it.
