fx4 to fx4 cluster swap

Ive read the threads on the stx to fx4 cluster swaps, but does anyone know if a direct fx4 cluster to another fx4 cluster swap requires a dealer visit for anything?

I have a chance to get another cluster at a cheap price and I am looking at customizing it (gauge faces, custom fx4 logo w/ red 4 in it ,etc)

I do not want to even deal with the dealership if it requires the pcm flash if the dome light and such doesnt work.

I dont feel like experimenting on the original and possibly screwing that one up then costing me 100`s nor buying this one and having to pay 100`s if it does have to be programed in any way.

Just the miles on it wont match your truck.

The other one has only a couple thousand more, so I can do the swap and keep it the same when mine reaches the same amount. I just want to make sure the dome lights and chimes are going to work since the stx to fx4 swap had this problem requiring 100 or so buck fix at the dealership. At that point it isnt worth it to me.

I would be interested to know also. I have swapped several of these clusters, my own and others. I was told the PAT's system routed through the cluster. That would imply that it is per truck, not per model. Wouldn't mind being wrong, here. So someone with experiance changing their stock cluster for a new one etc. know this?
