7 pin connector relay failure?

Hi,

I've recently lost all functions to my trailer from the tow package's 7 pin connector (turn signals, running lights, electric brakes). The trailer stoplamps still work when I press the brake, so I'm sure its the pin connector that's the problem. The most obvious cause would be the relay failing. I've had the truck for 15 months, and I'm wondering if the relay would fail within this short period of time? I've towed approximately 3000 miles to this point.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Correct me if i'm wrong, but there are at least 3 fuses related to the 7 pins connector. Can failure of one of these fuses knock out the entire connector's functions?

I just tried a new relay and it didn't work. Anyone have the connector unit itself need replacement?

There's a relay that controls the trailer running lamps and 3 fuses that control the trailer left/right and brake lights, and trailer brakes. If your brake lights work when you step on the pedal then, so must your signal lights. Have you checked the pins on the 7 pin connector with a test light? Have you checked for a broken ground on your trailer? The charge line is also contolled by a relay that only works when the truck is running, sort of a pain! I'll bet its the trailer wiring and not the truck... Good luck
