Arrow Should I reset my truck's PC?

OK boys, I need ur help.

I installed a cold air intake on my 04 F-150 5.4L V8 FX4 Supercrew and I've noticed a decrease to my miles to the gallon. The engine is swallowing gas like its free. I've driven over 1000 miles with it on already hoping the mixture will work itself out but no luck. Can anyone shed some light on why and what I should do?

Thanks!

What kind of intake kit did you put on? A couple of the ones I’ve checked out suggest you to disconnect the battery during installation. Go ahead, disconnect the battery, and reset the PCM; it can’t hurt anything to do it.
