on a SCREW, probably not. go with a tuner+intake+exhaust+gears, then you can think about headers or pulleys etc...

Have not heard of any great gains with shorty's, on the new 3v They are a lota work to install also 6 to 10 hours
Stick with the tuner, intake, exhaust,(cats back) pulleys, E-fans, gears, and if she's still to slow. Charge it

after my first round of engine mods(tuner, exhaust, performance intake) i just got my second round of mods installed on tuesday. The were jba shorty ceramic headers, underdrive pulleys, and efans. This truck will now actually spin my 22's for at least two seconds from a dead stop flooring it. the guy i have been racing against with a titan has been my measuring stick. I got him out of the hole last thursday without my tune but he ended up beating me. I tuned the 93 program in today so we will see sunday nite how we stack up. FYI, the headers are apparently a bitch to install on the passenger side...it took the mechanics i have to put them on 5 hours.

how much of the tire spinning comes from the headers and how much from the tuner/pulleys/fans/exhaust?

the titan is not stock, he has performance intake and exhaust and he has 410 gears and i have the 3.73 gears. also i have the 22's and he has stock plus the weight advantage he is pulling. A stock f150 vs stock titan is a 1.2 second difference, so with my new mods we should be close without a gear change. And im gonna guess that overall the headers probably dont add up to the cost of them(650) plus the hours to install or pay to install but you never know until you actually try. but its a nice complement to my overall system. The only other thing im definitely gonna do is change to 4.56 gears and then decide on either nos or a blower(whipple preferably) but its gonna be awhile til i pay off this other stuff.

THANKS GUYS FOR THE INPUT. IM RUNNING A K&N INTAKE AND FLOWMASTER FORTY SERIES NOW FOR PERFORMANCE MODS. BOTH OF THOSE HAVE PROVED TO BE WORTH THE MONEY. I THINK ILL LOOK INTO THAT TUNER FROM TROYER PERFORMANCE NEXT. ANYBODY KNOW IF I WERE TO DO SOMETHING LIKE ELECTRIC FANS AND UNDERDRIVE PULLEYS LATER AFTER I ALREADY GOT THE TUNE WOULD I NEED TO GET A NEW TUNE FOR MY TRUCK?
