Question Just for the heck of it......

What's the first thing you remember saying to yourself when you drove up to the dealership and saw your new '04/'05 F-150 sitting there?

OOOHHHH MAAANNNN!!!! (repeated a number of times )

They had mine sitting right out front all shined up. My old truck had actually quit on me about a block away from the dealership.

I picked mine off the dealers lot., at that time, I just couldn't get over the beauty of the truck and the size of it! it was dirty, so it was washed and brought to me at the time of purchace, and all I remember saying was "WOW!" I still love the way the truck looks!

Too bad they couldn't wash your problems away too?

I was originally going to get a Ranger Edge but the one I wanted was a few thousand less than the F-150 I got!

I really had a tough time. They had three trucks equipped exactly the same -- Dark Shadow Gray, Dark Toreador Red, and Silver. The salesman finally gave me all three keys and told me to let him know which one. A half hour later I chose the Dark Shadow Gray.

It was a good choice. It grew on me, and hardly shows the dirt.

This thread is relevant to me that's for sure - I just got home from having a look at my new truck - just arrived today after 6 weeks and a day wait. 05 F150 King Ranch 4x4.

The first thing I did was just stand there and giggle like a school boy. Honestly seeing MY truck there in front of me after having driven the same Jeep Cherokee for the last 10 years kind of stunned me - was this really mine?

It will be ready to pick up tomorrow with the dealer options installed.

The odd thing is that today when I left work to go get some lunch, my Jeep wouldn't start - either the battery or the alternator went kaput. In 10 years, that Jeep has never not started until the day it's replacement arrived. I think it's mad at me!

Very excited to join the F150 owners club!

Dave.

I had actually picked out a all AZ Beige truck the day before we were to accept delivery. The next morning they had taken this one in on dealer trade. It had 257 miles on it but everything else was exactly the same. Wife and I both asked about it at the same time. Saved 1100 bucks going with the exact same truck but prettier colors. I've never felt bad about picking this one over the other that only had 18 or so miles on it. I see it driving around now here locally. To me this one has more eye catching colors.

Ain't it pretty

NXT SHINE! Dang it RP your costing me time and money!

Well, I'd fallen in love with the new body style while deployed and drooled over it for months. Of course I'd just purchased an '03 over the summer and knew it was outta the question to get one BUT... I've got an awesome dh.... after paying off the truck and getting a lift kit & stuff for it he says --go get a new one, and get some options this time...don't settle, you deserve it!!!!

So, I went this Jan. And struggled between a leftover xlt screw, an 05 FX4, my original fav, & an '05 Lariat--secretly liked but felt it was way, way over what I really 'needed'.... then my Mom saw it & was like--classy. Ultimately, it was the cost, more options & a better price so I ended up with the Lariat.

When they cleaned it up & pulled it around--I just smiled like a goof & couldn't believe it's ALL mine. I smile everytime I look at it. I absolutely love it. :::sorry for the novel:::::

Green Lariat 4x4

I initially looked at a Green King Ranch the dealer had but it had no tow package. They said they could add a hitch but that I wouldn't have the same tow rating nor would I have the upgraded battery or transmission cooler.

I then noticed a Green Lariat with all the same option plus the tow package and I moved on that one.

I was astonished when I went in to pick it up. They had it infront of the dealership all shined up.

Sold a 95 Range Rover Classic privately to get this. Loved my Rover but this is a whole new game!!!!!

I noticed they had done a pretty crappy wash job. Huge patch of dirt on the door (it had been raining a few days before picking up)

I was also sad to get rid of the 98 (because it was still a great truck that I loved to drive)

I had gone the night before to make a deal and they told me they had found me a red one, just like I wanted by the time I got there. We made the deal and the sales woman told me to drive one just like it. I took it for a spin and couldnt wait for the next day. When I got off of work and drove to the dealership, there it sat, just what I wanted. This one even had a couple more options on it than the other one I drove the day before (it was maroon). I went in to the dealership and went to sign the papers and the payments had gone up $44 a month. The finance guy was such a jerk. Finally, after I had gotten in my old truck and almost drove off the lot, the sales woman called ma back and he settled for the deal we had made the previous day. It was an unecessary hassle, but it was worth it. I have really enjoyed my truck. I bought it a year ago tomorrow (4/28/04). Its the first brand new truck I have ever had.

Mine was sitting in the garage in the dealership all shined up! There was two trucks in the bay a torador red one and mine black and tan. I said "OH GOD!!" "It was worth the wait" "that's mine!!" I took pictures of it sitting there and before I even sat in it. I remember opening the door and hearing the door chime and the new smell hit me ahhhhh yeah I love that smell. I thought oh it's going to be a good day! I couldn't wait to go show it off to all my friends and family. When I heard the audiophile for the first time I said "WOW" now thats a nice factory system!!

39,000km on it and I still love it as much as the first day!!
