Put my truck on the dyno today

A couple of my friends and I headed to a friends dyno today for a little fun. Strapped my F150 Screw down for the fun of it.....

after a quick calculation from the factory 300hp with a 20% automatic tranny loss it should put me at 240rwhp.

-First pull my truck put down 229.8rwhp and 256.6rwtq.

-Second pull was 230.6rwhp and 260.6 rwtq.

For the third pull I took the airfilter off and was amazed I gained 8rwhp making it 238.4rwhp and 272.8 rwtq.

Right now all I have done to the truck is a magnaflow cat-back. Cant wait to get an Air Force One intake and SCT tune and hit the dyno again. I know I am loosing some HP due to my larger, heavier tires.

Interesting results! You gonna slap it on the dyno again after the rest of the mods? That would be hella-cool.

It would be interesting if you could find someone with a totally stock F150 and see what affects the modifications you have already mad have done. Wouldn't be exact as you are not starting from your particular truck, but would probably be close.

I was thinking of putting my stock tires bad on and trying it again to see what my new tires are robbing me.

I was just on the troyer website and I think I am going to do the SCT, AF1, and the dual fan setup.... I am going to dyno each mod seperate to see what eash one does.

thx for the numbers!

yeah i think i have heard that they run 220-225 rwhp stock...helluva drivetrain loss , but i think if the factory tune would allow the engine to rev higher, the rwhp would be higher. and from what ive read, exhaust by itself wont give u much. but yeah itll be very imformative to return with the results after the tuner and intake as those are the mods most people will do 1st

The engine reving higher wouldnt do squat. It hits max hp sooner and then starts to level back off.

ya... my trucks rev limiter i guess is 5000 rpms. I figured it would be more being a mod motor..... like a mustang 4.6 against a 5.0 pushrod.... the 4.6 loves to rev.

Im suprised that the truck had that much power at the rear wheels with those tires.

Now get your stock wheels, tuner, and intake on there and than dyno it for us!

Make sure you get the dyno sheet and scan it, so you can post it!

my stock tires and wheels are going back on next month so I can taking it into the dealer and have them listen to my rearend whine.... after that its going straight back to the dyno for a run to see exactly what type of hp my tires are robbing....

Ill would have scanned and posted my dyno sheet already for this run but my scanner will not work with windows2000.... I have been looking at getting a new scanner but have not got around to it yet.
