opinions on chrome

I'm seriousely considering having my wheels chromed, what do you guys/girls think? Can aluminum wheels even be chromed or not? I've already replaced the black step bars with chrome and and added dual exhaust with chrome tips. These wheels are a major PIA to keep clean I think chrome would be easier.

For what you will spend to have your wheels chromed you would probably be better off to just buy new rims. I have seen alot of deals on 18" chrome rims for our trucks.

I agree, you would still probably be better off to sell those and buy some new chrome wheels.

guys

It would cost me at least $800.00 to buy new wheels. Is it really that expensive to have wheels chromed over?

Yes, there was a guy on here that had his stockers chromed and it cost well over $600.00. I agree that if you like chrome sell your wheels and buy some new ones. If you really like your wheel style, sell yours and buy the chrome ones from MB.

I also think they look much better polished they way they are. They might be harder to clean now, but they have a much more rugged look and less bling which is a good thing IMO. Never been a fan of chrome wheels.

ok

geez! I can't believe it costs that much to have them chromed. I guess I will live with them as they are.

Thanks for your thoughts -1 for spelling

I'm not too big on chrome myself. There was a thread where a guy chromed his stockers on his Lariat Screw if I remember right, and they looked alright.
