Question How to mount Ford emblem onto Carriage Works Billet grill?

Hello I have a quick question for all of you. I was wondering how to go about mounting the Ford embelm onto a carriage works billet grill (the full replacement kind). I want to get in on there so that it holds very secure, so that no one can just pull it right off the truck. I have seen many guys on here who have already done this deal. I dont want to just mount it with the double sided adhesive because there is not enough contact surface for it to be secure enough. There has to be a way to use fasteners. I bought a new emblem off ebay, it is the exact same one that was on the stock grill with the exception that this one has some double sided adhesive around the outer edge. It has the 3 studs without and thread on them. Can anyone tell me the best way to handle this? I would like a very tight and secure fit. Can anyone post pics of how this is done? Thank you all for your time.

I went to Home Depot and bought the industrial strength double sided tape from the paint department. Once I had it aligned I turned the nuts that held it on the old plastic grill upside down so the flatside was up and used needle nose pliers to tighten it down. It ain't going no where short of cutting it out of the grill.

Question Question for 1 KRAZY KANUCK

Hey 1 KRAZY KANUCK can I ask how you screwed on your emblem? I bought the same emblem that come on our trucks, from ebay, only difference its got self adhesive tape on the back from the factory. I too was going to drill some holes and screw it but I wasn't too sure on how to go about that. I wanted something a little bit secure, cause I dont trust the self adhesive too much because the lack of contact surface on the grill. Can you post any pics or directions step by step? I would really appreciate it. Thank you very much for your time.

No problem, its very easy, you just have to be careful not to drill your pilot hole through the front of the emblem. When i did mine i placed my finger on the front face of the emblem where i was drilling into to "feel" the drill bit pushing on the front factory decal just to be sure. From what i recall you have a good 1/4" of room for the screw head to stick in. If you do happen to go through the emblem dont worry, as most of us have installed the emblem overlays off of ebay and that would cover the mistake. I also removed the factory pins as one had partly broken off when i installed my new grill. I also used a couple washers at the screw head end and some glue to help hold the screws to the emblem.
As mentioned above i wasnt sure if i would like the emblem on the front so i made sure that if i didnt like it i could easily remove it by undoing 2 screws.
Hope this helps.
