Lariat owners - Check your wheel caps

Someone already mentioned the blue Ford logo peeling off (in the center of the wheel/hub cap)...and I had that problem with one of my caps too. But now I've got at least 2 wheel caps with the beige covering peeling off in the area that borders the Ford logo Anyone else have this happen? I hand wash my truck. I've only been to a car wash maybe 5 times (I sprayed it myself).

27,300 miles as of today. It's been a great truck except for a few minor goofy things like this.

Mine are okay. I just washed my truck yesterday, and I've ran it through one of those all cloth drive through washes a few times, they still look alright.

This is not limited to the LARIAT...

I rented a XLT last week that was missing two of the four ovals on the centercaps.

Shoot! I hope this isn't gonna keep happening to me after the warranty is out LOL But I suppose that would be an excuse to get new wheels

Mine look great except some minor scratching on the wheels themselves.

well, if your warrenty runs out and your missing some logos on your center caps, just go to a parking lot and find a new F150 and just switch yours with them, they just pop right off! hehe (you didn't hear that from me)

My rears have a brown mark, looks like cigar burns, almost. One had them when I put the wheel on the truck, the other got them shortly there after. They are small. I have no idea what causes them. The trucks never been near a curb, and it's on both sides.
The centers seem fine, though.

lariatf150 just get your dealer to order you 4 new center caps.
My dealer replaced, under warrenty, all 4 of mine as 3 of the 4 had actually fallin off.
Hope this helps.

The real fix to this isn't going to the dealer but rather ordering new wheels and tires.

Well, I stopped by the dealer today and got all 4 caps ordered. 3 already show signs of the coating peeling off and the other one is questionable.

Now I need to get some ceramic pads to get rid of the dust...and the brakes are squeakiung horribly loud lately.

I've heard other people complain about very loud squeaky brakes. I'm ok with some squeaking...but this honestly got to the embarrassing point. I'd be just creeping in a drive-thru and hit the brakes lightly to stop at the window for example and it sounds like metal on metal. Very bad. I've looked at them too...there's plenty of pad left. I just want them off. I don't mind paying $40 for ceramics or whatever it costs. I'd be happy to be rid of the dust.

Got the new center caps yesterday. I hope they last longer than the first set. First set lasted 13 months before they started peeling, etc. I hope they improved the adhesive on the set I have now.
