outch man!! don't ever use that brillo pad on chrome!! Talk about it rusting and scraping the chrome away!

I've used brillo pads on chrome for 40+ years and most cleanup shops as well as body shops use it to clean up chrome and remove overspray. If you use it on chrome, there is never a problem. If you use on pastic "chrome", it will scratch. It's also good on glass. After you use brillo on chrome, you wax it and you won't have a problem.

How many have ever actually seen bumpers chromed or rechromed? Before I saw it done, I had always thought that the chrome was what was shiny. The shiny is the base of nickle (sp) and the actual chrome is transparent. When you see milky looking chrome plating, the chrome plating is usually to thick.
