Well what exact kit would you get?

I was thinking maybe the Procomp with the MX6 shocks. or even the Fabtech with the 2.5 Dirt Logic shocks.

Procomp as listed - $2300
Fabtech as listed - $2500

Heres a pic of my '05 Screw w/ 35 Mud Terrains and a 3" Body Lift. Needs an AutoSpring leveling, but if you're looking to save some money then this is a good route to go. My future plans are to add a 4" Rancho and 37's.

I measured my overall truck height with the Rancho 4" lift and 35 " tires.

The rear lift block is 4.5 inches. The height is 83-84 inches tall. Stock height is rated at 76 inches. So 1" for tires, 6" lift and 76 " stock height would equal right at 83 inches.

So the Rancho 4" lift would really be 6 inch if the stock height is accurate. I didn't do a before measurement so I really can't qualify the numbers.

I think I've made up my decision. $2000 for the Rancho kit including the 9 way adjustable shocks seems like a good deal to me.

the thing i like about rancho lift is it is the only lift you can run 35"s on stock rims. Fabtech and Procomp need 5" backspacing on the rims at the most.

Although i just ordered a fabtech lift , motto metal wheels
today

and i already got my tires which look sick. 35 x 12.50R18 Cooper STT

Can't wait til i put it in.

Re: Rancho Lift

I personally wouldn't spend 2 cents to get a Pro-Comp keychain...I bought two Pro-Comp lifts before (different vehicles), both rode like the suspension was made of concrete. I won't be spending my money with them again without a long test drive.

WOW....you can run stock wheels with the Rancho lift? Even better...I like my FX4 Wheels and wouldnt mind keep'en them on until I needed new rims.

I bet if I lifted it and got new tires, id end up getting wheels anyways. Its a great thing that you can keep the stockies with that lift though.....

I searched and I don't find it needed to make a whole new thread but..

Will a 12.50" tire work on a 8.5" wide wheel?

i believe the stock rims are 7.5"s wide and i've seen lots of 12.50" wide 35"s on them.

I would Say yes, but double check with the tire manufacturer
(I have 13.50s on a 8.5" wheel).

The sticker on the tire usually will tell you the min width or you can go to the website of the tire maker and look under specs and they will the tell you the min rinm width for that particular tire.

Also, Check with 4 wheel parts on your kit because they are selling rancho adjustables buy 3 get 1 free! They also price match so find the cheapest price on the net for the lift and bring it to them.

I believe MB Motoring and others make 17, 18, 20, 22 & 24" x 10" wide in the 6-135 bolt pattern here.
