Please Help with Step Bars

I would like to put a set of bars like this on my F-150.

Has anyone purchased a set like these?

My Dealer is telling me they cost $425 a piece, which I find very expensive. He has emailed Ford to see if this is so.

There are some fine aftermarkets out there for a lot less than that. On another note, you might try ebay and see if anyone has pulled their OEMs off and are trying to sell 'em...Kevin

Really give some thought to these nerf rails.
Black powder or stainless, short or wheel to wheel.
Bar type or round. It's all a matter of preference.

I like Willmore (304 Stainless) nerf rails, reasonable:

Good luck,

Islander, I like those Willmore models, how much were they. I looked on the site and couldn't find much about price or where to buy them.

I purchased the Westin Platinum tube steps for 399.00 from performance products. Those are chromed stainless, a big bonus here since we are on the coast.

My dealership wanted 399.00 for the OEM chromed steps and an additional 150.00 to bolt them on. Needless to say I purchased the westin's, and next to my wife's F250 that has the OEM ones, they look twice as good.

IslanderXLT what do you have on the lower part of your truck? It looks like some type of Line-x. I have a problem with rock chips in that area.

-MJC,
I had the local Bed Liner folks (called Lava-liner here) spray that
lower rocker panel, since all the older local trucks here seemed
to rust out in that area. Thick, 1/4 inch, plus they added a thick
U/V coat which makes it semi-glossy, easy to clean. $175. extra
when I had the bed spray - lined.
Came out real decent, wraps underneath truck.

(If you consider having this done, have them spray it to the
top of the lower 45 degree bevel in the beltline groove, and
think about adding the molding below. -very inexpensive, tough.)

Used this heavy black molding for the beltline groove and
door edge protection trim, no more problems with doors or
rocks banging into me. -Molding links:

Do you have the link to that page? I haven't ordered them yet. If that's 200 with shipping for the stainless, I'm in.
