Is this Normal???
I was wondering if it's normal for these trucks to ROLL backwards (like they're free wheeling in neutral!) when stopped on any kind of incline. Yesterday, I was at a stop sign and when I took my foot off the brake, I rolled back so fast, I almost got to meet the driver behind me
I've got the 3.73 limited slip if that matters. I've never had an automatic roll back like that. Just to test it afterwards I found a hill will no one around and this thing will roll back until you run outta road or hit something. Maybe, if I can just figure out a way to hook up the reverse sensing system in drive!
Thanks for your thoughts.

Mine's the 5.4
I'll just have to remember to use my left foot to hold (while I take off) the brake on hills! I wonder why some seem to "do" and some "don't". If I creep up on the stop sign and give it just enough gas(BARELY press), it'll hold. Only works when you don't have 3 other people trying to be the first off the line regardless of their "turn".

This happens because the F150 is a heavy truck and it probably has got something to do with the stall speed of the torque converter.
I'm not sure what the stall speed is on these converters but I would assume it's around 1500-1800 rpms. FYI, the higher the stall, the easier the vehicle will roll backwards on an incline. It will also sit still on a flat road at 0 mph.
