How To Remove Your Front License Plate Frame
How To Remove Your Front License Plate Frame
Hello. I'm new to the forum and I hope this is the right place to ask my question. I recently bought an 04 F150. It has a black plastic license plate frame on the front bumper. My state does not require me to have a license plate in the front and I'd really like to take it off. Does anyone know the best way to do this?
Thanks for any help!

it's just clipped on. Yank. You can try to do it neatly by pushing on the top hard and popping the top clips out.
After you try this and get annoyed by it, pull the heck out of the thing, then fall on your butt when it comes loose.

The two brackets you see on the back of the frame simply hang over the bumper. There are two tabs that wedge between the bumper and the lower plastic valence. You might want to try a screwdriver to push the tabs.
Like inbred mentioned, a small bit of violence never hurts.
