Bed Ramps.. any suggestions?

I was wondering if any one out here has any experience with folding ramps for loading a riding mower or ATV into their bed. I see some have cables to help secure them but was wondering where you mount the cable to. Also, any help pointing me to a good place to pick up a set on the web would help.

I have a set of these and they work great. I like the almost solid plate floor. It allows you to load things with small wheels.

This company offers several different options.

The cables are used to connect the ramp to the truck to keep the ramp from falling off the tailgate. You can connect it to the bumper or hitch.

HINT: The cables are a pain to use, get yourself a pair of light duty/cheap ratchet straps. They work great and can be used to keep your ramps bundled together as well.

Here is an Ebay link to the same item from the same company for a little cheaper.

I thought about getting some to load my mmotorcycle but decided the bed it so high, I would damage myself and my bike loading. I also think the ramps would be to short for the height of the bed.

I bought some from Harbor Freight for about 35.00 on sale. They are aluminum, and quite light. I use one for the dog to trot up into the bed. She's only 65 lbs. But one of them is stong enough for at least 300 lbs. They are rated two total of 500 pounds.
For the dog, I added a thin sheet of plywood, ten minutes work, and painted/sprinkled sand on the paint, to form a no slip surface.

If you use ramps to load a 4wheeler, mower, etc... always put your parking brake on and latch the saftey cables. I almost found out the hard way not to do that. I loaded our 4 wheeler in the back of our old F-150 once without doing either, went to get off the wheeler and looked back and was shocked. When loading it the motion of the wheeler made the truck rock back and forth and the ramp had slid back on the gate, to the point that one side was basically off and the other was on by about a 1/4 inch. It scared me straight!
