What do you mean release the seat belt? Is it partially pulled out and won't retract or what? It behaves the same was as the rest as far as I'm aware. I've never had an issue and I'm constantly using it with the kids.

On my 2004 F150 Lariat supercrew there is a belt that comes down by the the rear headrest on the driver side seat, and it clicks into a smaller latch. The smaller latch is on top of the another seatbelt lock but it has no way of releasing the belt coming down from the headrest. If you guys dont know what Im talking about I will try to post pictures tomorrow.......that is if someone can teach me how.

He is talking about the rear center passenger shoulder belt. At the bottom, where it anchors by the seat base, there is what looks like a snap base. I don't think it's designed to come apart.
