Unhappy Retrax help

Hey Team,

I just recently installed my Retrax bedcover on my new 05 Lariat Screw. It looks awesome...but I noticed after a couple of days it seemed to slide up alittle on the passengers side of the cab. I could pull it back toward the tail gate but after some driving it creeps up again. I realized that the cover came with some rubber "spacers" but 1) the instructions supplied made no mention of them 2) I don't know where they would go anyway.

Can any of you Retrax owners help?

EDITED

Had the exact same problem with mine, you need to use the spacers to adjust the blocks under the clamp locations. I ended up having to do the following, after which cover fits and works perfect:

1. Move passenger rail slightly further forward than driver side rail.
2. Add one 1/4" spacer to driver front block between retrax rail and bedrail.
3. Add one 1/4" spacer to passenger rear block between retrax rail and bedrail.

Sorry about that, just edited to hopefully clarify. Also, you can check out Retrax's website, they have step by step instructions that you should have gotten with your cover that should help clarify what you need to do, and if you run into problems call them, there Tech. Support is great.

wait...now I just walked out to the truck and though....did he mean foward toward the cab or forward toward the tailgate....does that negate the 1/8 inch space at the tailgate as the instructions mentioned? Sorry...just curious.

You'll want to have your passenger side rail slightly closer to the front of the cab than the driver side...so yeah the gap will be a little more than 1/8" between the tailgate side of the rail and the tailgate itself on the passenger side. I ended up moving my passenger side rail towards the cab about 1/8" more than the drivers side, but it still fits fine and everything seals great.

While on the topic of retrax I was wondering if its possible to add bedrails after its installed. My finger is on the trigger wanting to get one but judging by some pics of it installed on some guys rigs I see it covers some of the black plastic along the top of the bed.

If anyone knows for sure I would appreciate it!
