I think it all boils down to:
Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks..
Personally, I like the way it looks, that new S'crew I'm getting just may look sweet as hell with that drop on it, and it might also make it easier for the lady friend to drive. I'm interested... for the reasons you stated FATHERFORD.

Im not a DJM hater..I decided not to get one because of cost and what I was told. I never had any true to liffe experience with them. I went with mine because it cost LESS to buy it and get it installed than to buy the parts for DJM and GroundForce kits.
As long as you like them, that is what matters...now get some wheels and youre set!
As far as lowering or lifting trucks..I have both. My Ford is lowered and I have a Dodge with a 9.5 inch lift. Both are great in their own ways.

Didn't mean to offend...hope you didn't take it that way. I think it looks sharp for a lowered truck.
Must be the hillbilly in me but a truck that is jacked up that goes "oops did I ride over that honda" just looks great to me.
BTW you are right about the off-road bit...I have a hard time taking my 41k 4x4 off roading...but it can if I want it to.

As jpdadeo said, the DJM 3.5"/5" Kit Includes Front Lower Control Arms, Rear Flip Kit & Rear Shackles. You also need to buy new rear shocks. I chose this kit for the reason that I get to still use my stock springs. This was for ride quality.
I think this is about as low as anyone can go. The frames on these trucks sit so low compared to the older models. I'm looking into doing a body drop right now.
Looks great bro
I just recently bought my F150 on Saturday, 04-02-05(XLT, regular car, flairside bed) and ordered the DJM 3/5 kit the next day, Im waiting on some 22's aswell.
I was also happy to see you say that it runs smooth still cause I was kinda worried about that. Although I went with 295/30 series tires, so my rough ride will be due to my small sidewall tires.
