Could a "reflash" cause bad gas milage??

Thank for the replys! I didn't know I have to run the tank down a few times to get my milage back to normal! I hope it gets back where it should soon, cause 8.6mpg is horrable!

its not just to get it back to normal, but to get a more accurate read of your mileage. There are too many factors that would make that 1/4 tank read incorrectly.

My truck gas milage is back to normal!!! After the reflash, I got about 40 miles before my gas tank already went through 1/4 of a tank. NOW it's 102 miles before it uses up 1/4th of the tank!! Thats a huge difference between 40 and 102 miles and I'm loving it!!!

Triton I was wondering the same dang thing because mine dropped as well after the re flash, by 3 or 4 mpg I guess. but the upside is this, I can hit a rolling stop at about 10 or 12 miles an hour and floor it and when it down shifts it'll leave two nice black marks for probably the length of the truck. I'd rather have that than fuel mileage.
