Ball Joint Replacement

Replaced my upper right ball joint at 17k miles. Began loud squeeking sound when turning steering wheel or driving on rough roads. No lube!
Also had them road force balance for slight steering wheel nibble when driving first 4 or 5 miles, seems to have fixed.
Took care of the headliner TSB and tech noticed rear end shudder, which I had already noticed but was waiting till it got worse.
Performed clutch pack replacement, see my gallery for photos on the quality of work (or lack of) on the clutch pack replacement. Concerns me about the quality of the work inside if they are this sloppy with there work.

Otherwise all is well after first year.

OMFG take that **** back and tell them to do that right, you should never see that much silcone ozzing from the cover. if that much is out on the outside imagen how much ozed out on the inside. and once that stuff starts rolling through bearings it will start to cause damage.

J-150, its not a big deal its and squeky ball joint he got it fixed all is good, no need to be chicken little.

That repair on the rear diff looks just like mine, only a little less silcone on mine. I think that silicone is the recomended way of sealing the cover. After the clutch packs were replaced the truck is a lot smoother running all around.

I agree, but in the back of my mind I remember how crappy they were on my 98.

silcone is the the only thing used to seal diff covers, but you use a bead of maybe a 1/8 inch not four pounds like that is. thats just wrong.
